'm planning on buying rims/wheels from the Philippines when i go there and bring it back to canada as a baggage.

is it possible?

but im travelling with the family and we can have like 10 boxes of 30kg (2 30kg each person)

do you think we still have to pay the excess ?

It's possible-but first you are going to have pay through the nose to the airline for excess baggage, and then Canada Customs will present you with a bill for duty.
