Here in central Florida it's usually about $7 a day but they always add extra like a fee for a shower (that must be administered every three days) and tax and if the dogs is missing a vaccine they charge you with that too so call different places and ask, also try to get a kennel that has a good reputation My chihuahua was so stressed after we left her for 7 days that she started to have blood in her stools (due to stress) another thing to keep in mind is that she being a tea cup will not eb able to stay where the other dogs are, she would slide through the gates, mine did, they had to keep her with the cats!

Most kennels charge per dog - there usually is not a difference b/c of the breed or size of the dog. It has been a while since I kenneled but it ran 10-20 per night in my area. Most kennels offer extra services that you can purchase. Call you vet - some vets will kennel for their clients. Or your vet's office may have a kennel that they recommend.
She will have to be up to date on her shots and will require bordatella (kennel cough) shot.
I recommend visiting kennels and walking through them. Talk to the staff. Visit several before you decide which one you want to use. If you were going to leave a people child in daycare - you'd visit the daycare before you dropped you kid off - same with your fur babies. Ask any question that comes to mind - even the ones you think are stupid. They should walk you through the kennel area. Ask them to show you where they would keep a small dog like yours. How often would they take him out? Can you bring his favorite toy or his bed? Is it better to bring your own food or feed him theirs? Is there a vet on site? What happens if your dog gets sick or injured? Trust me - they have heard every question and when it comes to your fur baby - there is no such thing as a dumb question.
Start to decide well in advance. If you are traveling for a holiday- kennels will fill up well in advance. You may have to book for Christmas 2 months in advance.

Depends on the kennel. No more than $50 a night. Unless it's one of those upscale kennels. Then you're looking at $150-$250 a night!. Kennels normally charge on weight. Under 25 pounds normally will run $25-$45 a night.

petsit.com will take you to a petsitter locator. The site is for Pet Sitters International, which is a professional association for pet sitters.
Any dog will be happier and less stressed if they stay at home, even without human or dog companionship. It usually costs less than a kennel, too.
There are many pet sitters in South FL who are members of PSI, and most are bonded and insured, have a business license, and are more reliable than a teenager.

do NOT leave any dog at a kennel if you have an option of a pet sitter
a pet sitter will come to your house and look after your pet
a kennel is insensitive and lonely
I am not in florida but you could look for someone like me, I take pets into my home so that your pet will have an home environment, i also go to your house (i only charge 10 buck to go to your house, 25 to have them be a part of my family)
never a kennel unless it is a last resort

I wouldnt do it. They are very delicate beings that need loving care. I just dont think a kennel would do that. And the constant barking of other dogs would be seriously disturbing for him. Airlines do let you take small pets in the cabin.

It would be free as there is no such thing as a "teacup chiuaua".
However, my local boarding places charge anywhere from $15-$50 a day, even for Chihuahuas.

Here, in SE Louisiana, it usually costs the same for all animals (at least to the places I've gone).
