Belittling?

every time i go to my daughters house i feel very uncomfortable because her husbands always belittling her in front of me i dont even think she relizes it your probally gonna say mind your own business its her choice ok good but i still cant stop feeling uncomfortable when im around them its weird like hes trying to be her father or something its just puts me in a awakward postion how i feel about it i never said anything to her or him about it
how do i get rid of my weird feelings?

i just want to add its like he scolds her when she does something he doesnt seem to be his way her lip twitchs and she picks her face she even gets scolded for that

The most obvious choice would be to simply not be around both of them at the same time, or curtail your visits to your daughter's house. Suggest that she start coming to your house...and if her husband tells her she can't, then you may want to introduce the concept of domestic abuse (one indicator of which is belittling, another is restriction of contact with others).

My son-in-law did the same to my daughter, and I knew when she had her fill she would leave, and she did. He wondered what the family thought when she said she was done, and that is when he found out my only complaint was how he talked to her, which woke him up, but by then it was to late to repair the problems.

She is an abuse wife. Get help from your local womens shelter.
