San andreas is newer, it has more features, it has three cities, country side and desert, tons of vehicles, lots of missions. It's the first PS2 game to come out on DVD-9.

I would say San Andreas is better. You can do more, the city is bigger, there's tons more missions, you can customize your character, you can drive cars, boats. or fly planes and helicopters. All around it's just better

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
Its even the best ps2 game.
