Some aspects you need to pay attention to:
1. You can not burn PowerPoint to DVD directly with out third party software, because PowerPoint is not MPEG-2 Video formats which you can burn to disc directly with common burning software like Easy Media Creator, Power2Go and so on. you need certain software to convert your PowerPoint to MPEG-2 or that software has the function of burning PowerPoint to DVD directly
2. Burn PowerPoint to DVD or disc. Commonly, there are two steps, first convert PowerPoint to a certain video format such as MPEG-2, then burn the video to disc. (Here you can use these common burning software like Roxio Creator)
And there are some software can do this at a time
3. Put the music and the PowerPoint in the same folder, in a word, everything in the same folder to make sure you burn PowerPoint to DVD with animations, transitions and audio track retained.
The only way to do this is to get specific PowerPoint to DVD software. The best I've found is this one:
http://www.ppt-to-video.com/powerpoint-to-dvd-overview.html
this was is $79.95 and is one of the few products that didn't mess up animations, transitions and music.
The other option is to use Windows Movie Maker but you would have to start from scratch and insert all the pictures onto it. I believe Windows XP and Windows Vista came with this free software so you probably have it. You click on Import Media and select the pictures you want (press Ctrl to select individual pictures). You can then use the Auto Movie button to add credits, music and transitions to your movie. Then burn it to DVD.
Hope this is helpful.

Hi,
If you're using Mac PowerPoint on the File menu choose Make Movie. Then open the resulting movie in QuickTime Pro.
In QuickTime Pro use File > Save As and choose QuickTime movie.
Then open the movie in iDVD and click the Burn button.

1, If you only want to save the powerpoint files in a dvd disc, just save your ppt files and use a dvd writer software to burn it to a dvd disc, such as NERO. But for this kind of dvd disc, you can not watch it on TV but only on pc or notebook.
2, If you would like to view your ppt on TV, you need a ppt to dvd burner. It would help you to burn your ppt to dvd very easily. And you can also customize your DVD menus to create interactive DVDS.
If you google, you'll find a number of PowerPoint-to-DVD utilities, but many of them are at high price(over $100), below sells only $39.95, and it's workful.

You can download it and it's free trail with no time limit.
