I hooked up my PC to my 50'' HDTV, and there is a spot in the back of the TV for "PC Audio". But, when I plug speakers into that spot, nothing happens. Do I need a cable that connects directly from the PC to the TV and then the sound will come out of the speakers? If so, what kind of cable do I need?

PC audio is to INPUT audio from a PC.
It is usually a 3.5 mm port (although some TVs do have RCA ports) . You will need a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm audio cable (or RCA to 3.5 mm cable) , available from Radio Shack or any electronic store.

You might need a reciever or amp to direct the sound through your speakers but hooking up all your electroincs with JVC jacks
the yellow white and red wires that come with a PS or Xbox or any DVD player on the back of a receiver is hook ups and the where you plug it in determines what mode the recevier will be in EXMAPLE: CD Player or Video 1 and 2 or even Tuner which ever one you assign to your electronics !

The PC Audio will be an input. This is where you connect the audio out from your PC into your HDTV.
