The spread was a "love bottom line" one. and the question was about what is going on in his heart with regard to our relationship. I know tarot doesn't tell you everything. But i do believe in it and this spread looks pretty powerful. Let me knw what you think the tarot is telling me...

5 card, 5 positions, laid out in an arc (card 3, card 2, card 1, card 4, card 5)

card 1 (SELF) - Queen of Swords
card 2 (significant other) -- Ace of Swords

card 4 (situation) - 10 wands
card 5 (potential outcome) - Queen of cups

Hello Sara

card 1 (Self) - Queen of Swords
This card is someone who has been hurt, there may be trust issues that go deep here & need to be addressed as they will block happiness.

card 2 (significant other) -- Ace of Swords
A card of direct, unavoidable truth. This cards energy brings a permanant change of mind, way of thinking.

card 3 (advice) - ace of wands
This card is phalic so could represent sexual energy that is not being used, maybe it should be? it is also a card of potential still being present.

card 4 (situation) - 10 wands
This card bring burdens, not being able to see woods for trees etc. What the origional aim was has been forgotten, things need to be refreshed.

card 5 (potential outcome) - Queen of cups
She is an emotional card - cup either half full or half empty. which one are you?
On the whole upright she is happy.

QS indicates you as trying to figure out things in a rational way...the swords are air and intellect and the mind. The sig other is indicting new ideas, thoughts, beginnings, but not necessarily in the matter of romance. The advice card is indicative of energy... the card suggests using fresh energy to approach your problem... do something out of the ordinary. 10W can be a warning that getting what you want may end up being a lot of work and a burden. The QC potential says if you don't mind the hard work and continued work indicated in the 10W you can find a loving relationship.

Give me a few to dig out my old tarot books. At a glance - outcome with the Queen of cups is positive.

I'll be back in a bit. I've starred this so others who might be more currently active with Tarot might see this.

Added: Queen of Swords: proceed slowly. Know your mind and heart.

Ace of Swords: Can be overpowering and determined to win. Look for bold moves and encourage romance. Meet him straight on with equal strength and passion.

Ace of wands: Don't let the head overplay the heart but don't let the heart overwhelm the mind. Look for passion and balance.

10 Wands: the situation requires a lot of effort to keep it going. Be aware of family obligations that may be holding you back. Get away for awhile if you need to.

Queen of Cups: Romance has it's own path. Expect ups and downs - learn to ride the wave and enjoy all of. Things will even out ifyou can learn to get in sync with your partner.

Hope that helps

The queen of swords is you and the ace is your attitude to life at this time.. it seems to me you are shielding yourself .. not showing your emotions. holding it all together and shouldering the responsibilities that should or could be shared with others if you ask.
i see you finally doing something new and travelling or at last carrying out your plans and dreams..
