I don't get it.
Is it supposed to mean that the bigger your cross the more you love God?

This is the largest cross in America. This cross is larger than the Groom, TX cross by 8ft.

Honestly, though I'm Christian, I don't understand the use of the cross as a positive symbol for Christ's love for us. I know he died on the cross for us but I think it's a sad symbol as it reminds me of his suffering. I guess that is the idea though to remind people of his sacrifice.
