probably....
the discovery that santa is hogwash inspires a lot of kids to realize (maybe sooner than others) that god is hogwash too

What if it is discovered that Santa does exist or existed in the past? Then what are you going to do?
I've always considered Santa to be a moral guide to show good behaviour, honesty, trust, loyalty and hard work gets rewarded. That simple. That's why I hand out presents and why (I hope) I get them in return. As such that would make me and everyone else in this world as a type of Santa. Especially as I use The Bible as nothing more as a moral guide to help me become a better person. So where does that leave you?
And all that aside, back to my original point, what are you going to do if it is proven that Santa does exist now or has existed in the past?

Only if one believes the same thing about God as they do Santa Clause...But it goes much deeper than that, lets look closer at exactly what would be happening;
First off, you would be exposing the truth about Santa Clause and should follow it with an decent explanation such as it is a traditional holiday and so on....
But... here is where I believe it would be a huge mistake. Imposing your personal beliefs on children would in effect be helping them on their way to hell if you indeed were wrong... (and it sounds like your mind is made up already).
This matter should be left for the children, along with providing them the opportunity to go to church and decide for themselves.

Santa is not a religion or part of the Christian belief.
It is only a little fun someone added on once, then spread all over. Jesus never required a Santa. Belief in God and Jesus is far more important than fictional characters.
I even found a place in the Bible once that required us to not read fiction.

What does one have to do with the other. There is no logical tie between them. You also presume that religion is falsehood. That is your own prejudice.
