Photoshop Element Channels?

I have Photoshop Elements and i was watching this tutorial, http://www.planetphotoshop.com/the-davinci-design.html, and it says create a channel. On Photoshop Eements i cant find a channel tab, or anything to to with channels.

If it was a feature in your version of Elements it would be in the Window menu -> Channels (along with layers, history, etc.)
