I always thought that Christmas was celebrated because of the Jewish holiday Hanukkah (Festival of Lights) (Jesus is the light of the world). Jesus walk here on earth and what He did fulfilled Jewish holidays. Can you give me your thoughts about this?

No - Christmas was formed to encourage pagans away from their celebrations from Yule, the Solstice and the birth of several savior gods during this time.

Decorations * a tree inside the house * candles lit all night (or lights) * exchanging gifts * mistletoe * toasting each other * feasting * gathering family together * burning a Yule log * celebrating a savior's birthday on the 25th - all of those things are pagan.

You'll find a lot of Christian traditions and holidays were an attempt to overlay and then erase pagani celebrations: Christmas, Easter, the altar, the cup, communion, incense, the cross, special robes - all pagan.

Christmas is originally a Pagan holiday. I don't know why Christians celebrate with the Christmas Tree, Mistletoe, Yule Log, etc. All pagan rituals of fertility.

The only reason Christmas exists is that the first pope decided to celebrate Jesus' birth the same day as the celebration of Winter gods, in order to convert pagans to Christianity.

The choice of a celebration time of the birth of Christ tended to be scheduled (by an early Pope) to take advantage of "heathen" celebrations of the Winter Solstice. It really had nothing at all to do with Hanukkah.

Hanukkah is not Christain. December 25th is Christ's conception. Read Luke 1-2. The course of Abia is a date, and John was exactly 6 months older then Christ.

jesus was actually born sometime in the summer, but early Christians moved the date for christmas to celebrate his birth to the winter time so they weren't persecuted by pagans who were celebrating their winter holidays.

The birth of Christ was beginning of the first Jubilee, likely October 1 - 7 BC

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

There was an heavenly celebration, we read in Luke 2:13-14 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

The real meaning of Christmas:
We read in God's Holy Law-Book the Bible in Isaiah 42:5-9 Thus saith God JAHWEH, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I JAHWEH have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am JAHWEH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

That's because Pagans had a winter holiday. The Christian church devised the holiday to try to convert the Roman Pagans to Christians.

I believe as born-again believers, the lifestyle of a christian should be lived daily! Certainly I understand the world doing things the way they do, but those who have been delivered should show evidence everyday!
