It's not all illegals but there are those who are doing exceptionally well and I for one have never known one who wasn't making the majority of the money in an illegal venture of some nature. Drugs was one, ID fraud, theft and re-sale (especially tools etc.), guns, one thing here was getting paid good money for transport of stolen vehicles to Mexico for sale....etc.

I have known those who get welfare, food stamps etc. section 8 housing because of their anchor babies. Multiple familys living and sharing the remainder of the expenses. Show the card and the kids eat breakfast and lunch for free at school, the food pantries and church pantries load them up with food every week and in many cases clothes and furniture. They worked and showed those stubs as their "income" but they also made money at flea markets, the ladies I knew had like a nail business or hair salon going on in their homes simply because they liked doing it and were good, even though they had no license or training and charged less than a legit salon. They had their clientel of friends, and friends of friends, who of course wouldn't complain or sue or report them for running an illegal business. Therefore no business license, no insurance payments, no taxes.......many had a very lucrative lawn business.....illegal of course and no taxes or insurance or anything. There are alot of people who need things done but don't need the receipts for taxes and would rather by-pass the permits and inspections and such and so they do work that way....you don't tell on me and I won't tell on you. Around here they'll drive up and down the streets and maybe have a stump grinder or something and charge you practically nothing to do it for cash of course. I know this one guy made a few hundred just on my street. Illegal business....no insurance etc, no taxes.
There's always stealing the brass vase holders off graves, copper pipes and AC units etc. from not quite finished homes......they are creative....just don't seem to get it's illegal. Some even sell beer and stuff and have like a running bar in their garage on weekends. Make sure you keep yourself surrounded with "your people" who won't rat on you, head for the border if the heats on and then just move someplace else with a new identity and this can go on for a long time. No auto insurance on down the line and we'd all do quite well.

They think we're lazy but it's not laziness....it's doing things legally and that costs money!!!!! There was someone making cheese here and selling it at Mexican grocery stores. People got sick from it....e-coli or salmonella or something. But it's some ethnic cheese, in a town of mostly Mexicans, at a tiny Mexican owned grocer....not much chance of the rest of the public shopping there. Police can't find the business....nobodys saying a word.....they all got treated for free at the hospital and no-one is going to sue their own.....so it just goes on. I can't make jelly at home and sell it at a store. Doesn't matter if I worked hard doing it, it was good, I just want a better life.....etc. It's illegal......unless I go through all the legal and money demanding channels complete with being able to be traced, pay taxes and having insurance and the whole 9 yards.

We aren't missing anything.....we just know it's jail time and the potential of loosing everything you own by doing it and no where to run away to where we can't get caught. Not to mention a society where people will sue you over anything and plenty waiting to do it for silly things. We aren't allowed to isolate ourselves with a group of people who cover your illegal behavior because they don't see anything wrong with it.

Sure, they LOOK like they are living better ...but they are in debt up to their kazookos. Just like a lot of not very smart Americans.

My experience is: that the fancier a car a person is driving probably indicates this folk is on thin ice. Or he's stealing from somebody somewhere. Could be both in the case of an illegal. Not likely though. Most probable is that the poor dweeb bought into the American credit trap and if he is ever made into a citizen ...will he be sorry. He'll owe his hiny til the day he dies. I think what you see is credit debt. Not wealth.

Course these folks do chip in and pull together ...something else Americans tend not to do. Got the whole family eating peanutbutter and jelly sandwhiches so they can watch Bumba a la Raza on TV during prime time.

When AMericans wake up and get their families involved and start helping each other ...there is no end to the weath at hand. Some gip said it, I won't mention the name cuz I don't like it but " It takes a Community/Villiage"! and that's true!

I love Mr. Thin and his approach here and on some other ditties he's shared. He' more or less right. The thing Mr. Thin may no yet be aware of is: that once the illegals are given amnesty, he and his deserving, hard working immigrant family and friends are all going to be driven to the poor house by millions upon millions of more poor from the South, as they come up to suck our blood. The Democrats will have everyone with a home or decent assets, strapped over the hood of their black caddy's as they drive around down touting how they have arrive in time to save the huddled masses, upon huddled masses. This is what is coming America. Vote for your DEMO demons and prepare for the worst. They will strip you to the bone, no matter how hard you and your immigrant parents have worked. No one will get out without paying their pound of flesh.

There are a lot of ways people play the system. It's just not illegal, but legal ones do it too, as well as citizens. Illegals have certain advantages though. They can be involve with drugs, they can be stealing from other illegals (illegals tend not to report theft to the police), they can be cheating our tax system, they can have some scam involving government entitilement programs, they may have a small business that caters to their own niche. What they can't be doing is working hard, and honest and be rich at the same time.

Immigrants do tend to have a little extra go. We Americans get a bit complacent , because we have it too good.

Personally, I think the government is taking care of any of the Mexicans that can make it across the border, then why do the first American Indians live in poverty, this is unreal , the Indians were the first in this country . Most of the Mexicans that work here in the U.S. , live about 5to8 family together , second ,the government is paying for all these families to live in separate homes, next , when they come over here they bring all the money they have gotten from U.S. people that use dope. Some are rich before they get here, thanks to the ones who smoke their dope and support them. KICK EM OUT

When people live four families to a single family dwelling and share expenses, they have an awful lot of extra spending money to play with.

Also, they get most of their food from food banks and their clothing from the Salvation Army or churches, for free.

They have very little expenses and can afford the nice, new vehicles.

In my area there are many illegal criminal aliens in construction, IN THE UNION, and they make between $25.00 & $35.00 an hour for laboring.

In a case like this I'd be inclined to believe that they must have a huge unreported income, perhaps drugs or ID fraud? It is not likely that they can drive new vehicles and have flat screen TVs on a cooks, clerks, or Ag worker salary now is it? And they say they're only doing jobs that Americans won't do! LOL Perhaps that is true if it's something else illegal?

Because they work harder I guess, legal residents have lots more opportunities than illegals so I don't see why else.

To live better is to not be a slave to you possession's, that's why they have to work 12 hour six day weeks. If you don't have the time to enjoy it what's the point?

Many answers are pretty misinformed and not only that but possibly xenophobic due to false information for thier racist favor. Most illegals do pay for taxes yet don't obtain the benefits due to thier illegal status. Most (Mexican) illegals have a socially conservative way of living since a large portion are from small towns and small cities in Mexico and not only that but its apperant that most of these are poor people from Mexico who in some form, continue some standards they have before they moved to the U.S. (only with more money) such as eating simple meals, driving cars they CAN afford and not heavily in credit/loan debt.

Many illegals also work hard since they are making the transition into living in a developed country. While many Americans are less innovative than even thier grandparents generation, which shows how spoiled our youth are today.
