I feel bad that you will be alone tomorrow. I know the pain of loneliness and being by yourself during the holidays. I wish I could be there with you or even invite you over to my place. After dinner, I will be alone, the kids usually take off. I will just watch TV and rest as I have to return to work the next day.

The time before the rich young prince was his to make amends.

a handful of good natured boys jokingly said: "good morning" as they sped off; to which he gave no reply
he stopped for a newspaper; "enjoy your day, hon" the bright gal behind the counter said, as with his back turned he walked out
again, he gave no reply but afterward would say, that of all the sounds he had ever heard, perhaps they were the most pleasant to his ears
he walked the streets
and watched others going to and fro
and families gently holding their children
a beggar asked for a bit and a half for bus fare: "here's three buy yourself coffee as well"
he looked down at the homes ... and up into the windows and saw much happiness,
and wondered when the time would come when he would have no further visits from the past, present or future
and he hoped that he would be remembered as having kept the day well, if any man alive could; and may that be said of us all, .... of all of us; and so as he with knowledge observed:

I'll probably take a bike ride along the beach before lunch today... the conditions seem ideal for it.
There will less traffic around today - so that'll always be nice.
Aloneness should not be feared - after all you get to hear what your own thoughts about everything are...
You have to like yourself, otherwise you'll not be centred enough to navigate yourself through life, etc etc.

Probably watch Tv, but the Planet Earth on discovery sounds like it will be really good.
Have some beans & ham, a diet coke and go to bed.

I am only alone today, I get to go after Christmas shopping with my kids tomorrow, their mom took them to see grandma and I had to work.. pick em up early...
