One Question why was the FBI at your house????

If the FBI breaks down my door, I think the door would be the least of my problems.

Not is they have a warrant and it is the correct home or address. Once served and evidence gathered, most they might do if everyone in the location goes to jail, is nail and secure the door.

If they bust into the wrong home, YES, any law enforcement agency would have to fix the door or any other damage done.

If they fail to prove that there was due cause later on then they will. If they find what they are looking for, including a person who they are appropriately arresting, then they don't. They do have to leave the property secured though, even if only temporarily.

If they have a search warren and you were doing some bad s**t then your going to have to replace it. If they broke it without justification then you must still replace the door then pursue getting your money back. Have fun and good luck!

Only if you win a suit in court. They aren't in the business of making the people they (supposedly) serve happy.

No, if you refuse to open the door and they have suffucient paperwork to enter your house without your permission they are not required to replace it. However, it is tax deductable.

I think you have more things to worry about then a door.

Sorry trooper didn't notice I wrote the same thing until after I wrote it.

If they had the wrong house, yes, but otherwise no... (remember they knocked and told you to come out before they did that!)

They won't. Unless you file a lawsuit against them and win.
