We all have been given intellect. So long as we are not baised, we can always find if we ourselves are wrong or not. And if some one tells us that we are wrong. Let's first put our ego aside and analyse what the other is saying.

For example, if you are worshiping some one other than the creator, then you are wrong. But if you worship the creator, regardless what name you call Him, then its OK.

To be more specific, if you are a Hindu and worship an Idol, and some one says to you, that this is wrong, How can you worship some one you yourself have created?

Or, if you are Christian (and I am sorry to say this on a Christmas), that to worship Jesus is wrong. No doubt Jesus was a very respectable person and messenger of God, but not God himself. How can you worship someone, who was so helpless and seeking the help of God on the cross!, It is no rocket science. It is no big philosophy. Truth can not be something vague. It is very much evident. Within you and without you. I quote here some verses from Holy Quran, and I hope reading without a bias mind you will see the truth:

Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His Signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

O People of the Book! commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) A Messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One God: glory be to Him: (far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

These are nothing but names which ye have devised, - ye and your fathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire! Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!

Religionists????? Is that a word? I see no conflict in a person from one religion pointing out the falsehoods and errors in another. When Muslims say nowhere in the Bible does Jesus say he is God - I contend. When Christians call Joseph Smith a fraud and a crook I agree. They`re all wrong - but being wrong does not prohibit someone from seeing the next mans erroneous conclusions.

I am starting to love these somewhat open-ended rant questions with no real solution that people ask just so others can jump on the "YEAH! That's right!" bandwagon... *cough*

Do you really want to know what people believe or are you just here to vent? I could write a lot about what I believe and why I believe it, but that's not what you're interested in.

I will say this though: Logically, if something is right, then things opposite of that are wrong. Unfortunately logic isn't being taught in schools anymore, and neither is the correct definition of tolerance.

Because some beliefs like the sun rising and setting is caused by a chariot moving across the sky have already obviously been scientifically proven false, wheareas the general concept about the existence of a god cannot be falsified.

Here is how one can know what is true and what is not true. Use a KJV and a complete Strong's concordance, study your Bible by subject, word, phrase, however you wish to begin (I started with subject) and take note of the reference verses that pertain to your subject, reread them and where the weight of evidence falls, that is the truth. DO NOT use a verse or two or just a portion of a verse as the bases of your faith, use the evidence from ALL of the reference verses where the evidence lies! This is the only way to know for sure what the truth really is!

if a religion says that the sky has a lid on it (genesis 1: 6-10) then anyone can say that religion contains a falsehood.

even if someone believes that iraq is turgid with wmd's they can still say that the sky does not have a lid, and they will still be speaking the truth when they say it.

some things are true only in certain contexts. but the sky never has a lid.

(even though you seem to believe it does).

Some aspects of religion are fact-based and others are faith-based. If the Mormon religion teaches that American Indians are from the lost tribes of Israel, and DNA testing proves they aren't, that's a factual error.

You really have to study the Bible to understand why we do this. Some religions say there are different ways to heaven, when there is only one way through Jesus. I don't hate anyone because of what they believe. I try to be kind and gentle, but still speak the truth. I have to depend on the Holy Spirit to open up the spiritual eyes of those that don't believe, that is His job anyway, not mine. I don't want to put anyone down because of what they believe, we all have the right to choose. I get angry also when people are cruel to one another and make horrible comments, no matter what the subject may be.

What you need to learn to understand, if not accept is this:

First person says that A + B = C
Second person says that A + B = F

By logic, they both MUST believe that the other is wrong. Also by logic, they both MUST believe that any stance that says they can both be right is just stupid.

The thing that you don't understand is faith. Don't be mad at us because we have it. It is through faith we believe that Jesus is the Christ. We believe it because to us the Holy Spirit has made it plain. We believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God. Trying to change our hearts will be frustrating to you. But the Bible says that to those who don't believe this will seem like a bunch of gobblie ****. And apparently the Bible is correct.
