The following is from a question I asked last week.
============================
I've seen everything from Buddhism to fossils attributed to Satan. Satan's domains, I take it, are skepticism, pleasure, and anarchy.
God, on the other hand, is supposed to be the creator of the universe. His domains are blind faith, asceticism, and servitude.
============================
One answerer claimed that this was inaccurate; that my portrayal of God as the God of faith, humility, and servitude was an incorrect one, intentionally created by a patriarchal society in order to benefit the elite and subvert the common man. My gut reaction is that this doesn't follow most interpretations of the Bible, but maybe I'm wrong.
In your eyes, does God encourage skepticism, pleasure, and freedom? Or does he demand servitude, faith, and self-denial of earthly pleasure?

God most certainly endorses pleasure, within the guidlines He set up. He created us to enjoy life, our spouses, our children, our families etc. Every aspect of life is to be lived joyously.

We have no devil in our religion.So the concept is not one I would understand.Our G-d does encourage skepticism: Doubt me but keep my laws,they lead you back to me. As for pleasure ,yes.
Satisfy your wife twice on the sabbath. Enjoy life as in: all things in moderation. (Ever tried eating 10 #'s of candy? after a pound or two it really wasn't that great, lost it's appeal and made ya sick!) Freedom: To get a bit modern on ya, 'freedom's just another word for nothing left to loose'. without boundaries there is no freedom. With fences you can run around without thought or fear of going too far and falling off a cliff. Anyway I'm sure you get the idea. Our G-d understands us and my religion allows me so much freedom to find my way.Thanks for the question.

God only supports what the person talking about him also supports. There really is no consensus on the matter, because it just doesn't make sense that such an entity would give us life in this world in order to just hate everything about such an existence, and pine over being removed from it.

God does NOT encourage anything!!...
the word "God"..can be applied to The "source" responsible for the Totality of Everything!
always was always will be "EVERYTHING"
Now, us humans...we have created the illusion that this so called "God"..has a manner of "judgement"...which most probably is not the case. and with this idea in mind we keep believing that "IT"...or God..is always in the know and holds all our knowledge,hopes dreams, fantasies etc...
I say " Awake my brthers and sisters"!!
reflect on "your" conscience....for it has a way of decieving "what is"....SO...dont go on making up Satans..or gods...in fact dont go on making up anything!!
Be still Keep the mind absolutly quiet ..and then see what takes place!! No thought is the "TRUTH"

God encourages servitude, faith, and self-denial. I'm pretty sure there's a Bible verse that basically says deny yourself and others and follow God/Jesus.

God encourages skepticism, pleasure and freedom (among other things) Why would God create pleasure and then have us deny it?

God gave us free will to explore, to seek, to strive, to make mistakes, to essentially do as we want. Yes there are rules, many rules but we must choose to follow them and that is the freedom of Christian life. In the end, we are freer as believers than as non-believers.

Yes.
"Some of the companions of the Prophet Muhammed said :" O Messenger of Allah, the affluent have made of with the rewards, they pray as we pray they fast as we fast, and they give away in charity the superfluity of their wealth." He said:" Has not Allah made things for you to give away in charity ? every tasbihah is a charity, every takbirah is a charity, every tahmidah is a charity, and every tahlilah is a charity, to enjoin a good action is a charity, to forbid an evil action is a charity, and in the sexual act of each of you there is a charity." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, when one of us fulfils his sexual desire will he have some reward for that?" He said: "Do you not think that were he to act upon it unlawfully he would be sinning ? Likewise, if he has acted upon it lawfully he will have a reward."
