I want a tongue piercing, I already know everything there is to know, I convinced my dad, now I just need to convince my mom.
She says she won't let me because it hurts very bad. She thinks that because my brother got one and it hurt him for days.
Now I know there are some people that don't feel pain at all and some do, but my brother is just dumb! Right when he got his piercing he ate hot soup with lime juice, then he kept trying to eat hard stuff! That's why it hurt him so bad, but she won't believe me. She thinks I'm gonna be eating ice cream all day or something. How can I convince her?

855T is right, as I said I know all there is to know about them. I started researching about them a year ago, and I'm pretty much set, so while expressing your opinion is allright and stuff, the way you guys do is not, and I won't even take them into consideration.

I already got it pierced yay! She isn't very OK with the idea yet, but My brother and my sister are pierced and my dad agreed so she agreed too. I took ibuprofen and started eating ice when I got home and It's not very swollen. It actually doesnt hurt at all. Lets hope its the same tomorrow..

The truth of the matter is tongue piercinsg dont hurt if you immediatly start with ice and take advantage of an over the counter pain killer. I would try and take your mom to a piercing shop where a certified professional can explain the whole scenairo. You could also spend time looking online for this information, but be careful not to have your mom around then because you will pull up all types of information.

New York Day Spa asks why would you want to put your body through this shock. It is unnatural and doesn't enhance your appearance at all. It's outdated and is easily prown to multiple infections. Save you money for something that is can improve your look rather than taking it away. Even kissing is no fun with this foreign substance.

tell her it's your decision and it's not fair that you get treated differently than your brother, she cares for you but she has to let go and make you own decisions. tell her you won't eat ice cream just drink cold water =D. Good luck and tongue peircings are sexy

just tell her that your brother ate a bunch of stuff he shouldnt have. have her talk to the piercer and ask what's ok to eat and what's not. then promise her that you'll only eat those foods.

It is just ugly and unattractive. A little like nose piercings or those huge hole stretching things some guys get.
They are all just NASTY LOOKING . You will be an adult one day and need to look like one.

if she's that against it it might not be an easy sell , maybe get something else pierced first to show her your responsible with them .
