Of course there were dinosaurs, there is definite proof of that.However we did not come from monkeys. Of all the physical evidence of dinosaurs there is no proof we came from apes. There are drawings of the transition from ape to man but no skeletal record. The ones they thought were the missing link have all turned out to be apes. Like "Lucy" We are created in Gods image. Not physically of course be we have his same attributes. The ability to love, think, act, but because of inherited sin we are not perfect like God.
Of course your preacher is human what else would he be?
Born again only refers to those with the heavenly hope. That is a very limited number only 144,000.We are not all of that class. There will those that inherit the earth. And the earth will be transformed back to God's original purpose for it, which will be a paradise when we are at peace with the animals and each other.

first of all being a Christian is about a relationship with Jesus.
The things you listed abouve a very good ways of thinking but can apply to all or none of other religions.
No one can tell you if you are a true Christian..that is between you and Jesus/God. Just as my being a true Pagan is between the Goddess and I.

A Chrisitan believes in the divinity of Christ, that he came to live and die for our sins, that by his death we are saved from everlasting death ourselves, that He made gentiles children of God again.

If you belive that Christ is your Lord and Jesuss died on the cross for your sins, that's Christian.
If you go to church and practice his ways, sing his songs and belive his miracles, and even find yourself begining to be a CROSS dresser :)... That is a Worshiping Christian
