Depends. CG you will probably stay in the U.S. and it's a smaller organization so you get to know people . The Navy is big and you have the ability to go all over the world.

They are so different. the coast guard is more law enforcement and rescue missions... The navy is more well, military. The Navy mission and Coast guard mission are different and the jobs that you have available to you are also different. the coast guard is a smaller force and you will most likely get hazardouse duty pay, and sea pay which could mean you will make a little more money on top of the salary that is the same across the board for all branches. What is it exactly that you are looking for?

Watch The Gaurdian(kevin costner,ashton kutcher)
and then that might help you pick....
i think the coast gaurd is under rated and not fully appreciated and that's why i say watch the gaurdian...
