It is referred to as ground beef but it is the same as minced meat.

Maybe there is a language difference, but her goes:

Minced meat-no

ground meat (beef, etc) - yes

A dished with "minced" in the title-No

I am Canadian, but minced beef is called ground beef in North America, and everybody eats it! (well, not vegetarians)

Minced beef is british, americans say ground beef and of course we eat it, eg. meatloaf, meatballs, in spagetti sauce, lasagne, shepherd's pie, on pizza, hamburgers etc.

Canadians do ! it is finely ground beef with finely chopped onion
slowly cooked and well drained to remove ALL the fat possible .
It is very nutritious and tasty . Good for invalids and persons with upset digestive problems.
