After a visit of about three months with Elizabeth in the Judean hills, Mary returned to Nazareth. (Lu 1:56) When it came to Joseph’s notice (likely through disclosure of the matter to him by Mary) that she was pregnant, he intended to divorce her secretly rather than expose her to public shame. (Engaged persons were viewed as married, and a divorce was required to dissolve the engagement.) But Jehovah’s angel appeared, revealing to Joseph that what had been begotten in her was by holy spirit. Joseph thereupon complied with the divine instruction and took Mary as his wife, “but he had no intercourse with her until she gave birth to a son; and he called his name Jesus.”—Mt 1:18-25.
So no one knew about it but them and God.

That is a very good question, because not only was Mary's pure faith in God required, but also asked of her parents and of Joseph. Joseph was inclined to divorce her quietly (which meant to break the betrothement) but the Word of the Lord informs us that an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and he was told not to be afraid to take Mary as a wife and into his home, because the child that was within her womb was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Therefore she was never accused of any act of breaking the Jewish Law because the matter was private. All those who took part in upholding God's private revelation to them were as Mary, blessed for believing God's promises to them.

I asked this question a few times
The Virgin birth is a sign of Mercy, and a blessing from God.
For God to have a virgin give birth it was a challenge for people to have faith, and to not pass judgment
The Virgin birth is documented in the Holy Book of Islam too, the only woman mentioned in it.
This is definitely a of sign of mercy
Mary a Vessel of Mercy

It was through the miracle of Jesus when he spoke while infant.

It is explained in Chapter 19 of the Quran called Mary as follows:

(28) But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?" (29) He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; (30) "And He hath made me Blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; (31) "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; (32) "So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"! (33) Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. (34) It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it "Be", and it is.

i think if the jewish bethroed or husband made no accusation, then she was off the hook....Joseph actually protected Mary from the people and he empasized that the child was from the holy spirit. Joseph and Mary were only engaged, but the jewish engagement is like a wedding. it is very powerful.

It would take a miracle to prevent the Israelis from killing Mary, the Holy Quran reveals the hidden Miracle.

When the Israelis approached Mary and her infant Jesus to question her and inquire about the fatherless child, something unexpected happened:

"Then she brought the him to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a wicked man nor was thy mother a harlot."

But she pointed to him. They said: "How should we speak to one who was a child in the cradle?"

He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; and He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; (He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable" Holy Quran 19:27-32

Is Abraham also at risk? Were you there? Who is your reference? Many things go unsaid in the Bible, that does not say that nothing happened.

Because she was betrohed to Joseph at the time, which is being legally married [ w/o benefits]. It was up to him if that would happen.
