Mayweather is contemplating a MMA fight ~!
Who would win between Floyd Mayweather and Royce Gracie if each where in there PRIME .....?

Gracie.
Firstly, Gracie would outweigh Mayweather by at least 25-30 lbs. at fight time.
Secondly, Gracie wouldn't be dumb enough to try and stand with him. He would immediately shoot for the takedown, and Mayweathers TD defense is either very limited or completely non-existent. The same probably goes for his sub defense. This isn't to say he wouldn't make some attempt at it, and being a highly conditioned athlete used to fighting, he'd probably be in a much better position than your average person off the street.
However, going up against a BJJ black belt with experience fighting people with a bunch of different fighting styles, fighting people way out of his weightclass, and on the ground, I don't think he would stand a chance.
I think his only chance would be to use conditioning to outlast Royce, and either GnP, or stand back up and go for the KO. However, I don't see him defending the takedowns/sub attempts long enough for it happen.

Well from reading some answers I would say that you can tell who are pro Mayweather.....with that said I would say what has already been stated. If this was a legit boxing match Mayweather would destroy Gracie......BUT if this was a cage match where MMA rules applied Mayweather would lose and lose badly. This is like trying to make a orange an apple and vice versa. As for the gentleman who stated have a MMA fighter go legit boxing and see who wins again its the obvious. You still would be taking the MMA fighter out of his specialty and the same for Boxers. The answer they both would win in there own environments and under there perspective rules.

Gracie would beat him inside of 3 minutes,
because Mayweather has no respect for the sport of MMA
he said before his fight with Zab Judah that UFC fighters couldnt even last a round with him and that they arent well conditioned athletes because they only go at most 5, 5 minute rounds, and he fights up to 12 rounds a fight. He also
would get beat because he has no ground game hes all stand up and he doesnt know how to defend kicks or submissions, he would get embarrased.

Gracie would tie Mayweather in knots. Floyd's only chance would be to catch Royce on the way in. If it gets to the ground, Mayweather's tapping, bet on it.

Gracie, most pure boxers haven't faired well when turning to MMA due to their 1 sided offensive tactics and knowledge.
