20 or so years ago I was checked into the hospital with diabetes. My blood sugar level was 496 (78 is normal). I received a healing blessing and prayed hard myself. In the hospital they were trying to teach me to give myself insulin shots. I hate needles. I have passed out in their presence. 2 months after my entry into the hospital, my blood sugar was down to 80 to 90 with no insulin and no meds.

I was still a potential diabetic. A few years ago, my blood sugar went up slowly. I am now on meds, but still don't have to use a needle.

I have had several financial things happen to me. I use to make loans on property I owned. For various reasons, I got really short on money before or after taxes down to choosing either to pay taxes or the electric bills etc. I wanted so bad to pay the taxes because of penalties. 2 times over 40 years, I have received an unexpected payoff of a loan from 10 to 15 years early. Both appreciated and highly unexpected.

No one will believe this one. I use to have high blood pressure between ages 17 and 40. I no longer have high blood pressure. Doctors do not believe this. I wish I would have saved some proof.

I have many more experiences during my long lifetime.

Pray didn't start working me "until" I got saved though the blood of Christ Jesus.

"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:26-33

Consider the last verse most of all.

God doesn't always give us what we want. Yet, God always is concern for what is best for us--not what's good enough. Sometimes, God tells us to wait. Sometimes He does that because He wants us to learn something: patients. If you believe that's not fair, well consider this: Was it "fair" how long it took us to get right with God?

i was around 8 years old, my friends and i got to together and prayed for me becuase my head was hurting, i went back to bed and seconds later before i knew it, it was healed.

(i believe a prayer is stronger when others pray with you too)

i got with some other friends when i was around 17 years old, we prayed for my mom to not get laid off becuse they were sending ALOT of people home, she was never laid off

i lost my wallet when i was 20 years old, i freaked out, asked God to please protect it. i went back to work angry as ever not really NOTCING this 'guy' standing on the corner of my job looking at me. i went back to work and thought 'ok just one last time maybe i dropped it in the grass on the way here" i went out, the man was gone but where he was standing laid my wallet. it wasnt until late that i night i realize it must have bee an angel. i mean how can you not notice a light purple wallet by your feet, im convinced that was an angel

um when i was taking my GEE math test in high school, i happen to look out the window to see a white dove fly by, suddenly i was filled with satisfaction, confidence and love! becuase i prayed about it, i had alrady went to summer school, and most importantly i studied sooooo hard then i have ever done in my entire life, and that was God's way of saying "you did you part now let me do the rest." i went home and went to sleep like that test was nothing, i knew i would pass and i did.

if your prayers come from the heart, he will answer it.

I have so many of them...but I will tell you about my son...he was a drug addict [cocaine]. He supported this habit through crime. I started praying for him to come to the end of himself, for God to take him wherever was necessary to get him sved and healled. For the next year everytime he went out to commit these crimes he got arrested and spent most of that year in jail, because everytime he got out he would get arrested again, even when he was on house arrest. At that point they would not let him out again, he was charged with 15 felony counts and they were bent on 15 yrs of time in 2 different counties. ON this site I met someone who reccomended a place he went to and now worked at, that is faith based. I sent a letter to the judge but never heard from him. My sons lawyer, who ended up being a Christian by the way, got the judge to consider this place, called Teen Challenge. My son was let out and given 2 weeks to prove he was excepted and they were ready to take him. Instead he spent the time trying to find one of the quicky rehab places. In court the judge told him he would not even consider those places and made him take an on the spot drug test and if he did not pass it he was going to prison. Well thank God he passed and believe me the lawyer and I were both praying our hearts out in the courtroom. He was sent to Teen Challenge and is still there now. He is a totally different person now and he has come to know and eccept God into his life. I could tell you plenty of other prayers that have been answered.

Once, I lost my job and lacked money to pay rent. I had a choice. I could pray about it one hand and wish in the other and hope for the best, or I could find a new job.

Instead I chose to apply for a new job right down the street from where I lived and my application was accepted.

The best prayer that ever worked for me was the one I didn't pray.

Just had knee surgery....

had to shovel 6 inches of snow off my 90' drive and my Dad's.
About a 1/4 of the way with my Dad's I just could not take it anymore, so I called on my angels to help. I said" Angels, please send my an Angel"

15 minutes later a guy with a snow plow saw me struggling, pulled into the drive and finished the rest FOR FREE.

That was the angels at work!

Mind you, I am not religious, just desperate!

Prayer is personal. Just carry on a conversation with God like you would a friend.

The biggest one for me is physical healing, although there are many others. I was in extreme pain for over a year. Many women prayed over me and I have been pain free since that day. It has been about 5 1/2 years now!

People (religious and non-religious alike) need to realize that prayer is about two-way communication.

God is not Santa listening to your wishlist.

God is not a magic Genie granting you three wishes.

Prayer is a means of worship, confession, supplication, introspection, reflection, and - above all - meditation on God's plan and one's role in that plan.

If prayer is about the one doing the praying then ,no, it's not going to work. If prayer is about God then, yes, it is incredibly effective.

When I was in high school, a friend hurt her toe to the point where it was black and blue and she couldn't put her weight on it to walk. God instructed me to pray for her healing and I laid hands on her foot, asked God to heal it, and the next day her toe was healed.

Some might discount this but I think God really did work healing through my prayer.
