Well I'm fifteen and I want a ring to symbolize my respect for my body and my soul. But I don't think I should get a purity ring because I believe you should wait until your in a mature relationship with someone you love and care about and your sure that you can deal with the consequences of sex when you loose your virginity. But I don't neccisarily believe that I should wait until marriage. Any suggestions for what I should get?
And please dont be mean!

Your resolve is great, I think you are taking a responsible approach to sex and should be commended.
I suggest going to the mall and picking up a ring with a unique design, that means something to you, personally.

I never got the whole promise ring thing. That just a symbol. You are wise for not taking your virginity lightly at your age. But I don't think a ring is necessary to express these beliefs.

The abstinence education experiment has been tried and the results are in. It has failed.
There is no difference between those that have pledged abstinence and those that have not in the amount of sexual activity experienced. See the referenced report sponsored by the department of health and human services.
I would not recommend that you purchase a purity ring. A chastity belt would be more effective.
