Some folks would follow and accept him, however I doubt if a large percentage of them would be current day Christians. I actually think the larger part of his following would be pagan since they are more trusting of magic/miracles. Secondly would be people who practice eastern religions, they just seem more open to things and ideas in general. Not to mention as soon as one sect of Christianity would accept him, most likely the others would deem him a false prophet.

If history repeated itself, everything would be the same, the religious leaders would condemn him because of self interest, but Jesus only had to die once, so his enemies the second time would have no hold on him and he would successfully wage war and emerge as the victor. If fact these very things are happening today in that the religious leaders are condemning his true followers that follow his commandment at Mt 24:14.

The funny thing is that the Jews were in exactly the same position that Christians are in today. They were waiting for a miraculous coming of the messiah who would save them from the Romans. Christians believe that they were mistaken about scripture and that the messiah came to die.

Who's to say the Christians looking to the skies or waiting for magic teleportation aren't doing exactly the same thing?

Probably not. Ancient Christianity resembles modern Christianity very little. About the only people who might recognize him would be very traditional Catholics and Eastern Orthodox. If he was in the Middle East they might try to behead him.

Of course if he came in his glory as the bible claims he will there will be no doubt in anyone's mind who he is, and the media wouldn't be able to cover it up.

I do think there are quite a few "Christians" who will be less happy that they thought.

I'd think he'd be treated the same as a homeless individual holding a plackard out on the side walk.

Unless, there's a revelation or two that holds witnesses with proof that then creates a benevolent atmosphere, then even I'd be intrigued.

If he came back as a lamb as he came the first time' He would definitely be attack from the world, and hopefully not from house of his friends. But the scriptures says the next time he comes will be as a lion. which is what the Jewish nation is waiting for that is why they didn't recognize him the first time. I beg that the world will accept him for he will only save his own. He will be justified. God bless you!

He'd be ridiculed, written off as crazy, likely subjected to being tormented by Christians. I don't think most of them would accept him (especially not fundies) because Jesus, based on their own mythology, was a liberal.

Jesus is trying to come back but We wont let him.
THIS is Jesus.
When this no longer happens Jesus will have a world that is worthy of him.

They'd make him walk on water, cure a blind man, get a hair cut and a new set of clothing before they started the interrogation process. Before they got done he would just say, "screw it," and go back to the cloud he came from.
