Captain's Log

Day 1: Inform my family and spend the day with them and reminisce about the times we had together.

Day 2: Track down every person I ever hurt or was rude to and tell them I'm sorry for being such a putz.

Day 3: Review my will

Day 4: Remember my dear mother who died of Hodgkin's disease. Remember how strong and brave she was and hope I can do the same when the time comes.

Day 5: Ponder the mistakes I've made and the things that I should have done but didn't.

Day 6: Browse through all of my astronomy books and wonder at the immense universe in which I was lucky enough to have been able to know. At night, take out my telescope and spend the evening canvassing the sky.

Day 7: Tell the beautiful woman that I could never have how much I love her and wished things could have happened differently so we could have had a life together.
Spend my passing with my family and friends around me.

My faith would be the most important "thing." But I would try to spend my last week on earth visiting with family and close friends and loving my wife more than I had any prior week until then.

I would spend every second with my kids. I wouldn't let them, know until the last day, so that I could just rejoice in their everyday lives and struggles.

Just visit the church regardless of your denomination and ask the priest for the:

Anointing of the Sick

In the event you have never been baptized then ask for prayers only.

Step one: Take as many long-term loans as possible.
Step two: Also lots of life insurance.
Step three by this point should be pretty obvious.
