The KJV is 100% accurate as the Bible. It is completely and entirely trustworthy as God's Word.

I use the kjv and I find it to be true to Gods word. It has the same scriptures as the other. I like it for one reason. I Can pronounce the names they used back then, easier because they are hyphenated. It is the same word of the Lord. I love it. I read the newer version now but I still have problems with the names. I just do the best I can. May the Lord bless you all this Christmas eve, and through the New year.

I stick with The King James Version. I will use other versions, such as the American Standard, New International, New KJV, but always go back to the King James. The others seem to lose their meaning. The King James has a way of speaking back when I read it and is more thought provoking. Partly because I believe "English" is a beautiful language. What most of us are speaking now is "American". Its like reading Shakespeare. It makes you think, and because of that, I feel that is how God reveals himself to me.

The King James Version is a translation of the Bible......but not a very accurate or reliable one.

It was written in old-style language that many find very hard to understand today. Also, the translators were working to render it in the way that King James had wanted, and so that meant that not everything was translated accurately, so as not to offend the king.

It is certainly representative of God's Word, and has been around for a very long time. Fact of the matter is the KJ Version is just that, a version. It was written for a King, and they did not want to displease the King.

While I still have one, and grew up using the KJV, I now use an actual, accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures. The NWT is much more to my liking.

Most Bible scholars in years past, say it is the closest to the orignal. Yet, at the same time, we know that unless we have soe greek and hebrew translation of the words, its easy to misunderstand something. We use mainly the King James, and we also use the translation tables, and we also use an amplified that has the greek and hebrew words as their additional meanings of the Bible words, and between all of those, we get a pretty good understanding of what God was saying to all of us. All religions are offshoots off the origianl religion. We must study to truly KNOW and understand Gods word and to pray without ceasing for more understanding, deeper understanding. If we will love God with all of our heart and minds, and study and pray, and be obedieant to His word as we know and understand , God will bless with with additional revelation so we will always know what He is saying to us. God bless you for asking Billy.

When we believe in God and His word, it is not going to matter less on which version, , we will already have a better understanding of God through The Holy Spirit

It is a pretty good translation, but I think that some of the newer translations are superior in that they had a wider range of manuscripts to draw from then did the 1611 KJV. One major flaw is in Acts 12:4. They insert the word "Easter", which is an English word for "Ishtar" the Babylonian fertility god. All other translations use the proper Greek work, "pascha" which should be translated as "passover".
