I'm just pasting my answer to a similar question which came up a couple of days ago. I hope it helps you too.
The question of improving your performance in a foreign language is really interesting.
I've been into language learning and teaching for longer than you may think and this is part of what I've learned through experience.
1- Try to keep in touch with people who are native speakers of the language in order to practice your skills.
2- Watch movies in the target language
3- Watch TV shows
4- Listen to music and try to transcribe the lyrics (it's not easy by the way!)
5- Read, read, read
6- Try to write as much as you can. And I mean the simple things in your everyday life such as shopping lists.
7- Then there are a number of websites for learners of English as a second language. I must admit I've never tried them and I don't know what level of sophistication they offer.

If you find of these addresses worth I'd love to hear from you and share your thoughts.
