They do last for 30 years as the answerer above said - but only if it is of good quality. Don't expect a cheap bottle of Asti Spumanti to last longer than a year. But then cheap Champagne tastes crap anyway so why would you want to keep it?

As long as it's been stored properly (on its side, a little cooler than room temp, and never been refrigerated), it'll last for years. I still pull bottles out from 1995 and they're still great.

The sooner you drink it the better, Champagne is really not something you store for long periods of time....

But...if kept at a constant cool temperature, and racked on its side, 30 years +

years but the secret is laying it on its side...thats how they store wine in the racks that last for centuries
