The god of the old Bible hardly said a word about hell; along came Jesus and he couldn't stop talking about it.

"Weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Church folks hope all who disagree with them will burn and rot forever. Jesus gives them that hope.

I am not hopeful that any should perish, however the scriptures are clear that there will be many that will be cast into Hell.
The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, "eternal fire." The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs. RCC

True Christians who believe what God said, hope that it will be empty of people, and only the devil and his followers would be there. (God said "I do NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked. I don't want ANY one to perish in hell, but that ALL should come to repentance." He said "I lay before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose Life that you may live!" - Jesus said "I am Life!")

Sadly, too many skeptics, scoffers, and mockers would rather join satan in hell, than to repent of their sins and join God in heaven.
