Stats do not say that this is impossible. In fact, what you are talking about is called "repression" and it is fairly common. Not everyone who is traumatized is affected in the same way. Not everyone winds up with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. You have simply chosen to cope with your experience by repressing it and taking refuge in delusions involving a fictitious deity. I fail to see what is impossible about that, millions of people do it every day.
Advice: Face reality instead of telling yourself lies.

As long as you're okay, handle it however you wish--everybody is different, and I kind of like the person you are now and see no need for you to change, let alone recreate yourself from the ground up

I think it's wonderful that you do not let one traumatic event define your life. We are not what someone else says about us or does to us. We are what we make of ourselves. If you don't want to be a rape victim, then you will be a survivor. Nothing has changed about you as a person. No crime can change who you are.
Good for you! Life is now, not yesterday.

I KNOW that just getting through it is an accomplishment.
You handled it better than I did. I turned to alcohol and one-night stands.

Sometimes pulling repressed memories can do more harm than good, but it can help us to come to terms with some things.

I think that's great. Grasp onto Jesus, and he will carry you thru everything. Pray and talk to him, and commit yourself to
him. God bless you.
