Im assuming you mean drink both in the same night. Its fine.. thats probably just an old wives tale b/c some people cant handle different kind of alcohol in the same night or they get sick
Tons of people drink beer and wine and they are fine. its fine to do.

I do it all the time. They say it is not good to mix any alcohols. You get more messed up b/c it is harder to control how much you drink. Don't drink a lot and you will be fine.

The axiom is "don't mix the grain with the grape" the theory is that the combing of the 2 is what causes the worst hangover.

Some people claim they get headaches mixing the types of alcohol they consume. I maintain it's the AMOUNT of alcohol you consume, not mixing types.
