every time i make popcorn, there sits a staggering number of unpopped kernels on the bottom of the bag. how do i get them to pop without burning the already popped kernels? this is the only thing i ever buy and only get to eat half of what i pay for.

I keep mine in the fridge and most every kernel pops the cold keeps the "butter" firm so it heats better and more kernels pop. Good Luck!

The kernals are not all expected to pop. The manufacturers have calculated that into the quantity they provide in a serving so that you will get the serving advertised.
If you have only one half popping , the package will most likely be old or past the best before date....by months.

Even if you don't buy the popcorn in packages for microwaving and pop them in a pot, stove top. They still won't all pop.

Wait until there's 2 seconds between each pop at the end.

I get fewer than 20 unpopped out of a bag.

Half way through, turn the bag over. You will end up having to do it a little longer but it gets all the kernals.
