I need to make an important distinction. MRSA is a specific bacteria. MRSA infection is an infection caused by that specific bacteria. The two terms are not interchangeable.

There's no way to know if it's "likely" that you now have an MRSA infection based on the information provided. You may have a minor infection in the one fingertip and you may also have influenza. I suggest you see your doctor.

It sounds infected. It may or may not be MRSA. You will have to go to a doctor regardless of the type of bacteria and get antibiotics. You should put an antibacterial cream (polysporin or nepsporin) on the finger tip. The flu-like symptoms could be unrelated. It's that time of year for the flu.

Sounds like an infection. You should be seen and treated with antibiotics.
