Is there a DVD player that plays both formats and is also great for a 1080p HDTV?

Three ways I know of currently on the market:

LG BH-100
LG BH-200
HP m9060n PC with built-in dual drive. (one drive that plays both)

The BH-100 and the m9060 work perfectly on both formats in 1080p. I've not purchased a BH-200 yet but others say if functions well also.

By the way, you are on the right track! This is the only way to buy a 1080p DVD player. You get to choose from 100% of the available content regardless of what format the studios choose to offer.

There is, and it's called SuperBlu. It's expensive to the point where you could purchase one blu-ray player, and one hd dvd player for cheaper. The issue with SuperBlu is that it takes forever to read a disc.
