The idea of attractive comes from inside a person.
Heart, soul, attitude.
The camera can't capture that.
Merry Christmas

Everyone has an "open" and a "closed" side to their face. If you look at a photo of a person straight on and cover half, then switch, you will see one side is fatter, one thinner. Usually if a person is right handed, that will be the open side of their face. In dealing with people in normal every day situations, this is usually not very noticeable, but when photographed, it becomes obvious. As humans, we find a more balanced face more pleasing. In an article years back Denzel Washington was used as an example of a very balanced face, while Lyle Lovitt was the example of an asymmetrical face. Generally, a portrait photographer will use lighting and posing to try to compensate for any lack of balance.

This facial feature, as well as ability to pose and relax in front of a camera is what makes a person photogenic.

Merry Christmas!

Not at all! Sometimes you will look awful in certain pictures and great in others! It kinda depends on the lighting, quality of the camera, and even if you are good at making a fake smile look real. I know lots of pretty people who don't really look good in pictures. It's normal, and you'll probably become more photogenic in time.

if you haven't already seen it you should watch the friends episode about chandler in pictures.. bc in it chandler and monica are taking pictures for something.. i dont remember what but he is fine before the picture laughing or smiling or whatever.. but the second someone says "say cheese" or "1..2..3.." he gets this awkward face out of nowhere.. its actually quite funny.. but yea.. just because someone isn't photogenic doesn't mean they aren't attractive...

Not at all. One of the problems they had in the early shift from stage to screen acting was finding people who look good on film. Most people don't.
Photography makes our faces look flatter and our nose smaller. The result is that people who look good on film normally have really big noses and mouths.
They might look great in pictures, but they look weird in person.
Merry Christmas.

No, not in the least. There are a lot of people who are considered very attractive, but just don't photograph well. And, contrary, there are a lot of people who don't look as good in person as they do in pictures. Some people have angular features that may look nice in person, but don't show up well on film... or roundish faces that look cute in person but not on film. Lighting also makes a big difference in how pictures and people turn out looking in them.

No, because some people who are not attractive in person look very good in photos. Also, some people who look good in person don't look good in photos. And you are beautiful!
