I know a girl who is 13, 5'2 and 86 pounds. That is what you call anorexia! Don't worry!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

It certainly sounds like anorexia. At 5'4", you could afford to weigh as much as twenty pounds more and still be slim. Are you hungry? If you are, then let yourself eat! If you'd have to force yourself to take a bite, it would be a good idea to see a doctor. If your parents don't want to go that route (Parents often hate to face the possibility that there's anything "wrong' with their child, so yours may be saying, "You don't need a doctor; you just need to eat."), try your school nurse.

You sure is too skinny for that height. Don't be afraid of getting fat, it is just in your mind and don't let anyone making a fool of you. You need to be healthy coz being skinny at your age is not gonna help your body to grow properly. Try gain a few more pounds, you will be happier and you will look even better than today. Trust me.

I think you're a little bit paranoid. Let me tell you one thing & I hope you will remember it. By not liking to eat, sends a message to your body, via your brain, that you are starving it. Then, your body starts storing fat cells, which will cause you to gain weight. Eating does NOT make you fat, it's what you eat that does, if you're eating the wrong foods. Eating healthy, drinking water daily, & exercising, is the key. If you don't take care of your body now, you will end up with some health problems later. Daily, eat lots of protein, such as chicken, turkey, or some lean red meat. Also, eat some cheese (low fat) or beans, such as lentils, etc. Eat fresh veggies when you can, if not, eat frozen veggies. Get in the habit of eating fresh fruit daily also. Drink lots of water daily too. Your body needs it & it's better than sugary sodas.

BMI is worthless to the above poster.

And to you, the great thing is, you can eat TONS of food and still stay skinny. And the really exciting thing is that it's beter for you! Consume lean proteins, complex carbs, and healthy fats and you'll be great.

And yes, it's an irrational fear that you need to get over or you'll hurt yourself big time in the long run.

Best of luck to you
