if you have highlights in your hair can i still dye it if not why?

I think the dye for your hair will also tint your highlights. It has happened to me before, and I was really happy because the highlights were really ugly. If you're dying your hair a darker color, you may want the highlights to be tinted the color of the dye, just so the highlights match the dye better. Good luck!

It depends on the color you're using and the condition of your hair. If you're using a semipermanent color without peroxide, then you can probably still dye over your highlights. Yes, you can still dye it, you may just not want to. Highlights look great, when they're natural or done right in a salon. Dying will cover all that up, and sometimes becomes such a uniform color that it looks unnatural. However if you go to a good salon, and get it colored professionally by a colorist, you can probably keep or restore that beautiful multi strand color :)

Well yeah you can.If it's a differnt color than your highlights than it will change the color of your highlights!But if its the same color as your highlights you'll be fine!

yea you can. you can do anything. but make sure you like the color first. you almost ALWAYS look better with your natural color
