Merry Christmas Spiffs,

My family and I went to a service at the church where we worship. We sang carols and listened to a short message on the light Jesus brought into the world.

After we came home my husband, my daughter and I wrapped some gifts and listened to some good music and watched a silly DVD of a fireplace with a "fake" fire in it. We don't have a fireplace. It was funny and I still enjoyed it. We had some cheese/crackers/sausage and snacks for supper.

Tomorrow my youngest daughter and her spouse will come over and we will open some gifts and eat lasagna and be thankful to God for Jesus' birth and for our blessings. I am so grateful to God for my little family. We can be together and there are no fights or tensions to spoil the day. That makes me feel very wealthy!

I hope this Christmas day is a good one for you, Spiffs and for all who read this answer. If anyone who reads this doesn't celebrate Christmas, I hope you will have a very good day anyway. I wish you all could know Jesus, He is so wonderful!

We spend time with family, usually on Christmast day, we go to 2 different houses-- so it is kinda rushed- which is sad- but we also do a devotion with our kids before we open packages, so they will always remember the real reason we celebrate Christmas, and that the greatest gift we have ever received is salvation through Jesus Christ! That HE is the greatest gift to mankind!

ADD: I have been spending more time with family and friends all season (since Halloween). Most of them have already received and opened thoughtful gifts from me.

My son, two daughters, grandson and myself are spending the evening together, at home. We are going to midnight Mass, then hang out together all day tomorrow.

Peace and blessings to you also!

I am with my family and enjoying a rest with them, and contemplating the birth, life, death, burial and resurrection of my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

I always read the Bible of the story of Jesus' birth, maybe more than once, because that is the reason we are celebrating.

Merry Christmas!
