Why do I have these dreams occasionally?
Ok, I have this type of dreams like once a year for the past five years, I don't know if its a dream or if its real.
Usually happens in the middle of the night I have like a strong air forcing my body down from moving but I can only think about moving I try to yell out for my mother and can't even move my lips I can only see my myself and hear myself by my spirit getting up from my body how i am asking for help I start praying in my mind really hard help me god and then the strong force releases me I am completely awake thinking was this real or was I dreaming??? I am kind of used to these dreams. However, it kind of gets me thinking if its something else then dreams. I had told other people this experience before but they don't understand or say oh I had those dreams before.
Has anybody experienced dreams like this or similar situations????

Nope not paranormal but you and a good deal of other people are experiencing sleep paralysis. Your mind is actually awake but your body, believe it or not, is still asleep. What is worse is that during these times the sector of the brain that controls fear is hyper stimulated causing all sorts of feelings and fears. For some folks, what they fear most appears in these type of instances or what they think it might be will be. For instance, some folks see themselves getting abducted by aliens and other folks will see the demons trying to possess them..and the really non-believing folks who, yes, still get sleep paralysis will dream of nothing but the fact they can't move but seem to be awake. I don't think there is cure for this type of sleep phenomenon but knowing what is occurring may help ease the occurrences. Best wishes. Discovery Health channel did a whole show on this. It's sleep paralysis, which is a sleeping disorder, and it's not as uncommon as you may think. It's where you're mind wakes up, but your body hasn't yet. I've had the opposite problem before where my body falls asleep, but my mind isn't asleep yet and I hear a loud buzzing sound that scares me awake.
My sister has that problem. She used to have those dreams almost everyday until she was so scared to fall asleep. The fear partly comes from the loud buzzing noise that accompanies this. Often times your eyes are half open and the images you see in front of you give off an evil feeling, but the evil feeling you have is the fear of being trapped against your bed and not the objects you see at all.
For example, My sister once said there was a white horse in the hallway and after we looked around she found a small plastic white horse sitting on her dresser and from her view it was in front of the hallway.
You can find out more information here:

However, there is a paranormal view, which is that your soul is floating out of your body and that your spirit guide is the one pulling it down so it doesn't leave your body. They claim that children do this a lot, but as you get older the experience becomes scarier because you are no longer familiar with what's really going on. They also say the loud buzzing noise is the noise one hears when they enter the level of their spirit leaves the body. But, there is no proof of this, so most are skeptic of this idea.

i used to have those dreams a lot. mainly when i was really stressed and i just totally felt like my life was out of control. i still have dreams where i'm trying to scream and no matter how hard i try and push the sound out, i can't. in the total paralysis dreams, i used to freak out. but i have a bad habit of psychoanalyzing myself and i try to figure out why i'm feeling out of control... i think your mind is just working overtime and when you're mind is trying to wake up your body isn't letting that happen and so then you freak out because your "self" is in a jumbled. i would say, calm down... i taught myself how to lucid dream so i would imagine that the same idea would apply... mind over matter.
if you have any other ideas just email me.

I seem to recall hearing that the body goes into a state of semi-paralysis when we sleep. If you have very lucid, clear, dreams, you might be partly awake and become aware of the paralysis and then bring that into your dream.
Try visualizing that you have total power in your dream and that if you cant move all you need to do is give yourself the ability to overcome it and you will be able to do it.

yes not terribly often
i also get a lot of the ones where i try to scream i get my mouth open but no matter how hard i try to force out noise nothing comes out, it is like when you get a really tight bear hug and can't breath i try so har but nothing and repeatedly
now if you belive psychic silvia brown....to sum it up it would be an out of body experiense,..basicly, and she also states that praying to god will help.... that if you ask for a smooth entry and exit you will be all right.....
