Maybe, if it's done overwhelmingly, and it sure does lead to spiritual illness, meaning going further away from from your Creator, God. What are your intentions of doing it? Do you just want to feel good? Read Galations 5:16-21 in the Bible if you care about your eternal destiny. If you want to let out the sexual tension, you can just take a jog around the block and it'll go away. If it's become a habit, or addiction, or and idol, from what you can live without, read 1 John 5: 21. Finally, it's just a waste of time, since it's not benefiting you in any way other making yourself feel better for a little while. I hope this helps.

How could doing something, which helps your body relax, calms your mind down and releases good energy be bad? No, doing something healthy for yourself, will never lead to a mental illness.

A mental illness is a health condition that changes a person’s thinking, feelings, or behavior (or all three) and that causes the person distress and difficulty in functioning.

No, it doesn't. But one can get caught up in pornography etc. to the point of addiction. Some also avoid a healthy sexual relationship with their spouse, for masturbation, which of course causes problems. Also, some people start to think that what is portrayed in pornography is like real life and expect just that. "Gee, my wife won't let me do _______ and __________ with her like the girls in the movies?"They may be letting themselves in for a big disappointment. Finally, there is the issue of lust as it pertains to God's word. This is an issue more for the religioun and spirituality section, but some may wish to look at Matt. 5:27-28.

No, just an unhealthy twist to one side if you're not ambidextrous. Don't guilt yourself too much. Remember, it's a means to an end, not a relationship itself. Give "Palmela and Handrea" a rest sometimes and go meet a nice girl.
