that a myth lol & if you want to lose weight you should be on a 800 cal diet. a 1200 cal diet is a normal supply of food you should eat daily to plateau your weight. I think your just eating the wrong foods. You should be eating a lot of fruits(very low in cals, but contain much water). The water in fruits and veggies fills you up tricking your body and making you feel full somtimes even so full you won't desire to eat for a few hours. If you fill a bowl up with 3 oranges +2 apples + one bannana you'll be consuming a whole of 350 calories and you may not even be able to finish the plate. Drink plenty of water as well this will boost your hyrdration, energy & overal skin complextion. This diet is also beneficial for rapid weight loss and occasional consetapation sufferers. On this diet you will be constantly cleasing your bowal system and you won't have to worry about acne, dry skin(unless your in the dead of winter), or constipation. I also heard peanut butter fills you up very quickly, but that a little more fattening. To add some taste to your diet only eat delly meats, whole grain breads, and organics such as cearals. Stay away from milk and cheese since these can be very fattening.

Fresh vegetables like lettuce, spinach, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, radishes, and other stuff like that you make salad out of actually have less calories than what your body needs to digest them. So you can eat them whenever you are hungry and they won't add to your calorie count.
Oranges and apples are good too, but they do have more calories.
Whenever you are hungry drink ice water. It fills you up, though for a short time, and your body has to use up calories to warm the water for digestion. There is no calories in water and it is very good for you.

you can lose weight even if you're hungry, as long as you're consuming enough calories to survive. You need to try spreading out your food more. Have lots of small meals throughout the day, so your stomach doesn't ever get totally empty for long. If you eat breakfast, a small midmorning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack, a light dinner, and a little bedtime snack, you should start feeling less hungry

Your doctor should send you to a nutritionist to assist you with your diet.
Anyhow, if you eat apples in the morning and your late night snack it will make you feel full. Also, drinking plenty of water and staying away from chewing gum will help. Chewing gum makes you feel hungry sooner than you should.
I have gone from a size 16 to a size 8 from January 8th this year to present doing the thin commandments diet.
I can email you details of this diet or do a search on Stephen Gallo, MD if you like.

Drinl loads and loads of water and after a while of being hungry you won't notice it anymore...I take in around 750 calories a day and by golly do be hungry... I don't mean to be disgusting but a quick orgasm often helps to divert the pain for a couple of hours Merry Xmas

Eat filling foods that are low in calories high in making you feel full, juice & soda are a bad ideas, apples, 100% whole grains are good. Potatos are also very filling, eat the skin, its where all the nutrition is.
PS granola bars (and granola in general) are not a great idea, they are high in fat, and fat has 9 calories per gram instead of the usual 4 calories per gram in protein and carbs.

Eat more food that is lower in calories, instead of less food with more calories.
Your doctor should have recommended a daily or weekly food schedule, to help you cope, instead of just expecting you to figure it all out by yourself. After all, you're not a doctor or a nutrionist, are you?

you will still burn calories....
But if you stay to this diet, it will become easier with time
The secret is what 1200 calories you eat
1200 calories at one time will make you miserable the rest of the day, but ":Grazing " on raw broccoli and Cauliflower and carrots, will keep you satisfied with a smaller calorie count.

I am very surprised your doctor recommended that...
If you are exercising, you should be eating more calories, if not though you might need to change your diet.
Make sure you eat lots of protein! It will fill you up and it's healthy. Also, whole grains will fill you up as well. Stay away from anything processed and/or filled with sugar.

You need to spread out your meals into smaller portions several times a day (5 to 6 smaller meals a day instead of 2 or 3 larger meals)
