Fair enough question. Yes. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the resurrected Jesus Christ is Michael the Archangel.
Scriptural backup:
1 Thessalonians 4:16 ... "The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an ARCHANGEL'S voice and with God's trumpet."
2 Thess. 1:7 ... "but, to YOU who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels " Notice Paul speaks of Jesus as one in authority over other angels.
Matt. 25:31 ... "31Â “When the Son of man arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne" ... Jesus here referring to himself as in charge of angels
Matt. 28:18 ... Jesus said "all authority has been given me in heaven and on earth". Well if ALL authority has been given him, he is over all, except of course for his father Jehovah
It should also be noted that the title "archangel" is used only in reference to Jesus Christ. No one else.

Hasse a question for you. You accept Joshua as the common english pronunciation of that hebrew name you mentioned? Why? You don't know how it was pronounced, correct. We also don't know how Jeremiah, Jerusalem, Judea, Judah any of those names were actually pronounced do we. The point is those are the names/pronunciations that have come to be accepted. BTW, the name Jehovah has appeared on centuries old churches all over Europe... long before the modern-day witnesses were around.
Hansan: With all due respect, is considering anyone one else equal to God not demeaning to his position as the ALmighty. Wouldn't the title then be a lie?

Not true...ALL Jehovah's Witnesses accept the fact that Jesus is Michael the Archangel. Any who deny this is not a true JW, they may not know, or someone claiming to be a JW but not really one.

If some JWs say Jesus is NOT Michael the Archangel, they can only be very new to the JW faith and unaware of this foundational teaching. ALL JWs MUST believe this in order to be baptized and a JW in good standing.
It is a heretical teaching that demeans the Person of Christ, making him out to be a mere angel, a created being. Of course, when in Hebrews chapter 1 we are told that ALL God's angels worship Christ, the JW Bible is forced to change 'worship' to the more ambiguous 'do obeisance to'. There is not a single verse in the Bible that says Christ Jesus is an Archangel. The verse JW use in Thessalonians is abused by them. If Christ having the 'voice of the archangel' makes him the archangel, then his having the 'trumpet of God' must make him God - to be logically consistent, that is. Clearly it's just language emphasizing the impossibility of anyone not noticing Jesus' return to earth, he will come with such glory and power - as befits the Creator.

The Bible’s Viewpoint
Who Is Michael the Archangel?
ACCORDING to the Bible, there are millions of angelic creatures inhabiting the spirit realm. (Daniel 7:9, 10; Revelation 5:11) From beginning to end, the Scriptures make hundreds of references to the angels that remain loyal to God. Yet, only two of these spirit creatures are mentioned by name. One is the angel Gabriel, who personally delivered messages from God to three different individuals over a period of some 600 years. (Daniel 9:20-22; Luke 1:8-19, 26-28) The other angel mentioned by name in the Bible is Michael.
Michael is clearly an outstanding angel. For example, in the book of Daniel, Michael is described as fighting wicked demons in behalf of Jehovah’s people. (Daniel 10:13; 12:1) In the inspired letter of Jude, Michael confronts Satan in a dispute over Moses’ body. (Jude 9) The book of Revelation shows that Michael wars with Satan and his demons and hurls them out of heaven. (Revelation 12:7-9) No other angel is portrayed as having such great power and authority over God’s enemies. It is no wonder, then, that the Bible appropriately refers to Michael as “the archangel,” the prefix “arch” meaning “chief,” or “principal.” While there is no statement in the Bible that categorically identifies Michael the archangel as Jesus, there is one scripture that links Jesus with the office of archangel. In his letter to the Thessalonians, the apostle Paul prophesied: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16) In this scripture Jesus is described as having assumed his power as God’s Messianic King. Yet, he speaks with “an archangel’s voice.” Note, too, that he has the power to raise the dead.

ALL Jehovah's Witnesses recognize that Jesus is also known as Michael the Archangel according to the Bible. There is no division between them on this.
Contrary to ignorant opinion, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christian. Jesus Christ and his sacrifice and the meaning of it are at the very core of our beliefs.

Cause they get their doctrine from satans toilet....aka wtbts.
For to which of the angels did He ever say:
“ You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?
And again:
“ I will be to Him a Father,
And He shall be to Me a Son”? Heb. 1:5
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the VOICE OF AN ARCHANGEL, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thess. 4:16
"Voice of" in NOT AN ACUTAL ARCHANGEL. God (Jesus) is merely using a voice of an archangel.
Jesus is in no way an angel.

If a Catholic said it was wrong to say the Hail Mary, would you believe they were REALLY Catholic?
Any JW who says that Jesus is not Michael is either uninformed, or not really JW.

Jehova's Witnesses believe in hocus pocus. I pity them. Jesus is Jesus. Michael the Archangel is Michael the Archangel. The confusion comes from the fact that they are naturally confused people.

Michael means one like Elohim. Who is more like Elohim than the Savior. Archangel means the most powerful leader of the angels. Kind of like Bush is the most powerful leader of the army, even though he isn't in the army. (bad, but maybe it helps) The Savior when he came to earth was named YAHOSHUA (yod hey vav shin ein) the same name as "Joshua" who fought Jerico. Because YHVH is YAHOOWAY, and there was no "J" in Hebrew, the JWs have to do some fancy footwork because they are not willing to admit to a mistake.
