It means that you have a lockable SD memory card and you have accidentally slid its witch to the locked position. Use your fingernail and slide it in the opposite direction and then all will be well.

I have lockable cards but have NEVER been tempted to lock any of them.

There is a little white tab on most memory cards that write protects the memory card from any more information being put on that card, all you have to do is move that little white switch over to the opposite side and you will be able to put information on that card!
