e.

"Scientifically" we are programmed to find mate and our evolutionary history forces us to choose one and be content for some time. To bind us with our mate for enough time so that our off-springs have enough time grow strong our genes force our minds to experience what we call love. Love is actually very physical in the brain. A person who feels loved has brain with enzymes and hormones which make it feel energetic, secure and satisfied. Being community animals like Foxes etc we have most basic psychological needs of being wanted by other community member. We interpret this "want" as love. This is a different kind of love than explained above yet it has similar effects on a human being.

All in all love is a chemical state of the brain. Since the cause and effect are so varied it cannot be expressed in any one of the other options mentioned from a to d. A complete study of this emotion will take you into medical journals but a simple but varied layman explanation can be found in the link below

e. Love is the innate stage of feeling of the living entity in relation with the Supreme Being, Sri Krishna. When the living entity give up the association of God and come to this material world, this feeling of love is a perverted reflection and turn into lust. 'I" and "mine" are the basis of this so-called love.
