1st) It would seem to me that it would always be best to sharpen before you wax. Do you agree?

2nd) However, is it ok to run the stone and bevel guide down the ski after the bases have been tuned (i.e. waxes & structured)? Or does this degrade all that hard earned tuning?

1)You HAVE to sharpen then scrape B4 you wax
2)Do you really want metal shavings on your bases while you ski?

Sharpen your edges first, then wax and structure the bases. Remove all of the wax from edges with a plastic tool. I use a window scraper with a small square groove filed in it.
