If so, is it the full blown test that officer applicants take, or is it the normal test?

It's the same test for everybody. What they want is something better than one-point-more-than-passing.
You'll also have to take the separate battery to determine your overall flexibility (shuttle run, pull-ups/flexed-arm hang, overhead basketball throw) and physical aptitude.

I've never heard of this full blown test that officer applicants take. The APFT is 3 events, and isn't going to change any time soon. If officer applicants do something different, it is not an APFT.

Everyone in the Army has to take the PT test, including warrant officers.

EDIT: This came from the WO page .. you should go to the page because you didnt state if you are Reserves or Guard or Regular Army.. good luck
Physical fitness - your arrival date is not a surprise, therefore the APFT you'll take within the first week should not be a surprise either. Make sure you are mentally and physically fit - remember this is an officer producing program, the APFT grading standards are strictly enforced.

To get anywhere in the army past a school you have to pass an APFT.. it may be higher standards for warrent. I heard thats harder than becoming a regular officer.
