According to Luke and Mark He was supposed to show up before the end of the generation that He revealed His self to. He is about 1600 years late.

Mark 13:30 Truly I tell you, that this generation will not pass away untill all these things take place.(response to being asked what are the signs of the end times)

Hmmm Jesus was born 2000 years ago. How could he be said to return then.

The scripture in Matthew 16:28 was actually fulfilled. Do take a moment to read the account of the transfiguration. Those standing with Jesus at that time were given a vision of Jesus standing in his Kingdom Glory.

That's why we must live each day with a watchful eye and a repented soul when you least expect he will return.

KJV -Matthew 24:36-41
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 -But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 -For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 -And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 -Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41- Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left

No, your question verifies that what the Bible teaches is true.

2 Peter 3:3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

If you don't want to be one of the 'scoffers" that gets burned up to a crispy critter then click on the Get Saved button @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ and may the Lord have mercy on your soul, in Jesus' name, amen!

Well, your calender is off a bit. He was born 2,000 years ago. He is suppose to return around the end of the year 2,000. From Adam to Christ is 4,000 years, We are living 2,000 years after the birth of Christ. He is due any day, so watch your step. The earth will be cleansed by fire. Two will be in the field, one will be killed the other left alive.

First of all, the two thousand-year plan was created by man. In reality, no one knows the day or hour. I don't know where you got this two thousand years, but that plan is a prediction. Of course, the prediction is false but the Bible is infallible (not able to be false.) Also, there is more evidence for Jesus' existence than all the wars in the world.

Jesus came to earth as a man about 2000 years ago. He promised to return again. The timing for that was not disclosed and cannot be determined any more than you can predict the date of your own death.
There is no broken promise here.

No, I don't think it's funny. No one said He would return 2000 years ago.

Thr Bible is not a lie. Jesus exists. JMO

who says he was supposed to return 2000 years ago? what bible you reading the one I read says that "He will come in the blink of an eye", in his time not ours. So He has not missed "your" so called deadline, if I were you I might start rereading the word and check your heart because who knows you might just miss his return and gosh then what will you do?

He was?

I've read the Bible very carefully, many times and I've never seen it say that.

In fact it has a list of things which need to happen before He returns and those things have not yet happened.
