I have checked a few other boards and it is not there. Why do we have to be offended by it? Suppose a person wants to have their own music in the back ground and not listen to that junk from Gap. Gap and Yahoo are grinches.

Dallas Hockey Girl has given me a good laugh. I have cats and I have learned to put the remote control to the TV in a drawer before going to bed. The cats walk across furniture and tables and they decide in the middle of the night they want to watch something. I have had the same reaction.

Oh My Gosh! I know! I always have youtube or i-tunes pulled up and can never enjoy my songs without that dumb add. Once, I was home alone at night and was on answers. I was working really fast and had my music going as usual. Sometimes, at night, my house is kinda creepy with shadows and stuff so I've always been self-concience about being here by myself. No, I'm not chicken! So, once I reached my comfort zone, that stupid Gap add came on and scared the crud out of me! I got freaked out, I thought someone was like robbing my house or breaking in! I screamed. It sounds stupid, but I did it! I wish they would take it off. If you find out, please let me know. Thanks!

I just posted a similar question under the category Yahoo Products, "Answers". That thing is the worst form of intrusive and annoying nonesense that gives the computer, Yahoo and GAP a bad name. If I hear that giggle one more time, I'm throwing this machine out the window!

Use firefox browser and add an extention (add on) called flashblock. It will allow you to turn on or off flash ads on a page, as you choose. There are other extensions that will allow you to block other annoying media types like quicktime ads. The extension is for exactly your purpose, to block anoying ads. You will still be able to play your own music.

it's on the Camera, and Non Alcoholics boards. I've been requesting they remove it for some time. I even wrote Gap and expressed how annoying it is and it will make me not purchase from the Gap.
It's even on the Suggestion board.
Looks like the money is worth more than us Yahoo patrons.

It is on other boards. The polls and survey boards also have it. So far no luck getting it removed. When I try to pause it it opens a new window. Not cool.

Isn't that the truth! I had to turn off the volume on my laptop because that silly thing has been repeating the same goofy airplane story all weekend.

Yahoo is free because of ads. All you can do is turn down your volume.
