You're experiencing rejection anxiety.
Just let it go. It was late at night and he probably fell asleep - could still be asleep if he's anything like the young folks in my neighborhood.
It doesn't sound like you did anything that would "put him off" about you, and it's a busy time of year, so just let it go and focus on other things. He'll call you when he can, and then you shouldn't bring up the fact that he didn't call, etc. Just go on as you normally would. That way, if he did for some reason feel pressured, he'll blow it off and nothing will be affected.
I find my own grandchild over-analyzes things until she makes herself miserable, and that seems to be what's happening here. Just try to relax and give it some time.

Listen to this true account.
A 13 yr old girl had a chat with a guy online. She never told him her last name, only her first name, never told him in what city she lived.
She did tell him her school colors and mascot, that she was in track and she loved the beach near her home. She told him her age, her height, and hair color.
A few weeks passed.
One day she left the track practice at school. A man approached her. Hi " ", I'm " ".
He was a detective and found her in Georgia.
A long chat with her parents.

Being a guy myself, I just say wait it out. He will eventually think about it and maybe he will call you. I am not god, so i cant guarantee it happening. just wait till u guys go back to school. Then u can talk to him. The awkwardness will dissipate soon enough.

why are you so worked up, he might have thought you were going to bed and he did not want to disturb you. Just talk to him like you normally would. As to the text he might have not read it yet or had time to respond. If you like him ask him to go on a group date with you.

The ball is now in his court. If you don't hear from him, just let him go. Don't keep trying to contact him or he may think you have stalker tendencies.
